THE Dispatch was inundated with panicked parents and guardians calling this week as rumours raced across social media platforms of a child trafficking syndicate in the city. One kidnapped child after another flew around Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp and Blackberry Messenger, long after police said the stories were false.
